This blog is the result of a series of caffeine-fuelled discussions on the theme of how we can stimulate more discussion and interest in the changing nature of ICT and how this will affect the way that local government/public services are delivered.
You no doubt begin to understand why the caffeine was needed.
We are James Smith, Technical Architect and Jim Morton, Applications Architect at Warwickshire County Council. Together we are working on a vision of how public services should be delivered now and in the future, a vision involving all manner of fancy notions such as service orientation, cloud computing, open standards and flying cars.
We are going to use this site as a way of communicating what we are up to in the hope that it may be of use to others in a similar position, or that you will take pity on us and let us know where you think we are going right or wrong.
